Goldair Handling and AeroGround welcomes AAS in the European Ground Handling Network
2014
Following the successful strategic alliance agreement between Goldair Handling and AeroGround in September 2013, both parties are pleased to welcome the new alliance member, ground handling company AAS Airline Assistance Switzerland.
Airline Assistance Switzerland is a dynamic and customer focused aviation ground service provider based in Zurich, Switzerland. The company was initially established in 2003 under the name "Hahn Air Schweiz AG" and in 2005 was granted a third party handling license by the airport authority at Zurich airport. In early 2008 the company was re-named to Airline Assistance Switzerland AG which is chaired by Mr. Josef In-Albon.
The co-operation partners are proud to announce Aegean Airlines as their launching customer of the network. Besides the continuation of the longtime partnership with Goldair, Aegean Airlines prolonged the existing contract on a long-term basis for Aeroground at Munich Airport. At Zurich, Aegean Airlines chose AAS for their operation start-up including a long-term contract for ramp and passenger handling.
“We are very happy and proud joining this newly established cooperation. As a local Swiss company this close partnership gives the access to a highly professional network in Europe. Our existing as well as future customers therewith will profit from a close know how transfer between the cooperation partners as well as an attractive and tailor made alternative to global providers in Europe”, stated Mr. Dieter Streuli, CEO of AAS Airline Assistance Switzerland.
“This broadening of the alliance adds more value to the services offered through multi-station deals and enhances the development of synergies through strong co-operation and best practice. This strategic alliance provides an attractive alternative to global ground handlers through a complex and high-quality solution to all customers, sustained by the members’ local expertise”, added Mr. Dimitris Papamichail, CEO of Goldair Handling.
"I am convinced that more and more airlines are going to appreciate the local expertise along with the easiness of having a network partner with all its potentials. As local and national ground handlers the network offers a huge number of possibilities for all of us and our customers”, highlighted Mr. Siegfried Pasler, CEO of AeroGround.
